At Connecticut East Dental Center, we believe that every patient deserves access to high-quality dental care in a reassuring environment. We are dedicated to making this a reality by utilizing state of the art technology, clear communication, and exceptional customer service.
At your cleaning appointment, a hygienist will remove plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth, polish them, and offer advice on maintaining good oral hygiene. Digital X-rays will be taken to check for any hidden issues such as cavities, bone loss, or impacted teeth. You will be given a thorough exam to assess the health of your teeth, gums, and jaw, looking for signs of decay, gum disease, or other potential concerns. Any findings will be discussed with you and follow-up care will be recommended if needed.
We require a hygiene appointment as your initial appointment and recommend subsequent cleanings every 6 or 12 months.
Fillings are a common dental procedure used to repair teeth damaged by decay, cracks, or minor fractures. During the procedure, the dentist removes the decayed or damaged portion of the tooth an fills the space with a durable material. Fillings restore the tooth's shape and function while preventing further decay. Our office offers tooth-colored composite fillings that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, providing long lasting and aesthetically pleasing results. Fillings are a simple, effective way to maintain your dental health and protect your smile.
A root canal is a procedure designed to save a tooth that has become severely infected or damaged. The dentist removes the infected pulp from inside the tooth, thoroughly cleans the root canals, and then fills and seals the space to prevent further infection. This treatment helps preserve the natural tooth, eliminating the need for extraction. Root canals are often necessary when decay or trauma has caused significant damage to the tooth's nerve, leading to pain and sensitivity. With modern techniques and local anesthesia, root canals are typically comfortable and can be completed in one or two visits.
A dental crown is a custom-made cap that covers and protects a damaged or weakened tooth. Crowns are used to restore the tooth's shape, strength, and appearance, especially after procedures like root canals, large fillings, or fractures. Made from durable materials such as porcelain or metal, crowns are designed to blend naturally with your other teeth. The process typically involves two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and another to place the permanent crown securely in place. Crowns provide long-lasting protection and help maintain your smile's function and aesthetics.
Dentures are custom-made removable appliances used to replace missing teeth and restore both function and appearance. They can be full dentures, which replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw, or partial dentures, which fill in gaps when some natural teeth remain. Modern dentures are designed to fit comfortably and look natural, improving your ability to eat and speak while enhancing your smile. With proper care, dentures provide a durable and cost-effective solution for tooth loss.
